The Latin Kings gang member has been charged with “murder for hire.“
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and federal prosecutors announced the arrest of a Latin Kings gang member in a Chicago suburb who allegedly issued a bounty on U.S. Border Patrol Commander-at-Large Chief Gregory Bovino.
The suspect is accused of using social media and encrypted messaging to issue a bounty of $2,000 for information on and $10,000 for the assassination of the commander.
“When violent gangs can plot to kidnap and kill law enforcement officers in a U.S. city like Chicago, that means they are feeling way too comfortable,” Commander Bovino stated. He likened the bounty to what occurs in developing countries.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the safety of DHS, ICE, and CBP agents as they work to detain and remove dangerous criminal aliens from the U.S.
- For the leaders of federal law enforcement agencies as they work to uphold immigration laws.
